Margate 'best value' picturesque spot to buy home in UK

Research from Hammonds Furniture has revealed the cheapest and most charming places in the UK that offer the best value for money, with Margate topping the list. The Kent seaside town has homes for sale that are 26% cheaper on average than other properties in the area. The average home in Margate currently costs £286,716, just £10,000 more than the average British house price. Dover, located further down the Kent coast, came in second place with average house prices at £274,982. Portmeirion, in Gwynedd, Wales, came in third place with homes costing £172,875 on average.
