London postcodes where tenants spend the least on rent

Research on housing affordability by rental platform Ocasa has identified the cheapest postcodes across the capital with South Croydon (CR2) named the city's most affordable destination. Tenants in the Zone 5/6 area spend only 21% of their average household income on rent a year (£15,024). The next cheapest postcode is in nearby Sutton, where the average annual rent is £15,468, at 26% of the average household income. To the east in Bromley, annual rents inch upwards to £16,632, consuming a 27.5% share of the average household income (£60,500). The fifth cheapest area to rent is Ruislip in west London, where rents hit a yearly cost of £16,548, 28% of average income in the area.
